Girona Portal

April 15, 2022

While visiting the Catalan region of Spain for six weeks, we got to stay in the medieval town of Girona several times. I took many photos of mysterious windows and doors, wondering what the ancient walls would say if they could speak, and who had come and gone through the broken-down portals.

2016. Approx 43"w x 68"h.
Materials: hand-dyed fabrics, commercial cotton prints, thread waste, Sulky variegated thread, tulle
