I spent several days in the Colonial town of Patzcuaro while in Mexico for a month, and was captivated by the niches, sculptures and unexpected little treasures in the ancient stone walls. I decided to put all of them in one wall in this quilt, including a representation of the ubiquitous Virgin of Guadalupe.
